Winward Nicol is a Co-Founder and Project and Program Director of Hope for Widows, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting widows in Sierra Leone. With a strong commitment to social justice and community empowerment, Winward has dedicated his career to advocating for vulnerable populations and promoting resilience among those facing economic and social hardships. With a background in Political Science, International Relations, and Project Management, Winward has utilized his expertise to develop impactful programs addressing the unique challenges widows in Sierra Leone encounter. Winward's journey in the non-profit sector began with firsthand experience of the invaluable role charitable organizations play in our communities. Armed with skills in program development, fundraising, and advocacy, Winward's objective is to offer hope to the hopeless, driven by a profound belief in the power of community and the significance of giving back, all while envisioning a nation where every widow has the opportunity to thrive and lead a dignified life.
